In truth, art is indispensable for children of every age. When children engage with and partake in various forms of artistic activities, their overall learning in all subjects significantly improves.

The Orca Kids Art Connection program is thoughtfully designed to encourage children to explore their inner selves through art, fostering a sense of creative freedom. Our primary focus is to inspire children to explore their ideas from various artistic angles. Under the guidance of our Orca Kids Art Connection Educators, children not only develop their artistic skills but also enhance their creativity and self-expression. Art offers numerous benefits to children, including improved problem-solving abilities, literacy skills, fine and gross motor skills development, emotional and physical growth, balance and flexibility, and a deeper connection and understanding of the rapidly changing world around them. Additionally, at Orca Kids, children have the opportunity to learn about the history of art, study renowned artists, and gain firsthand experience with various aspects of the art world.

Drawing and sketching classes

Within our program, children embark on a journey of visual expression through a myriad of drawing and sketching methods. These techniques draw inspiration from diverse sources—references, observations, and the realm of imagination. Children gain insight into the realm of visual image-making, fostering their ability to translate ideas into captivating visuals.

Guided by our educators, children are introduced to an array of materials, including pencils, pastels, markers, and inks. This hands-on experience equips them with the skills to manipulate these mediums, ultimately broadening their creative horizons. Through this process, children develop both technical prowess and the confidence to express their unique perspectives through art.

Painting classes

Our program immerses children in the enchanting realm of colors and brush techniques. From the ethereal medium of watercolors to the vibrant strokes of acrylic painting, every class is thoughtfully structured to captivate our young artists. As children advance in their artistic journey, their comprehension deepens through enhanced self-direction. Sculpture and clay classes

In our program, children delve into the captivating world of clay sculpting, where they embark on a comprehensive journey from conceptualization to creation. The process encompasses a rich array of hand-building techniques, including pinch-pot, coiling, and slab work. This journey is marked by a keen emphasis on texture, form, and the power of expression.

The creative process extends to decoration and finishing, where hand painting and the use of mixed media add depth and character to their creations. Beyond artistic expression, technical skills are also honed. Children learn the art of mark-making and color mixing, while also mastering essential tasks such as gluing and constructing. Music classes

At our academy, we hold the belief that a child’s musical journey should commence from an early age to foster collaborative harmony. Our approach places a strong emphasis on cultivating essential skills, such as singing in tune, grasping the innate rhythms of words and rhymes, and actively engaging with music through listening and movement.

To initiate a child’s musical awareness, we employ a blend of songs, rhymes, games, and dance. These serve as foundational tools to spark their musical curiosity. As their journey unfolds, these experiences seamlessly integrate with the introduction of percussion instruments, which become a vessel for exploring rhythm.

Dance classes

As they explore various styles, including Classical, Salsa, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and more, your children will not only refine their dance skills but also develop an enriched understanding of the captivating world of dance.

Yoga classes

The Orca Kids yoga program plays a pivotal role in aiding children’s concentration, enhancing their flexibility, balance, and relaxation, thereby alleviating stress and fostering emotional management. This holistic approach is infused with creativity and enjoyment, tailored to cater to each child’s distinct requirements—be they physical, social, mental, or emotional.

Within our program, we cater to the youngest yogis as well as those facing emotional and mental challenges. We equip them with techniques designed to aid impulse control and self-regulation. By providing a platform and foundation, our program aims to cultivate the healthy growth of young individuals’ hearts, bodies, and minds. Through yoga, children embark on a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and well-being.

Drama classes

Our dramatic art program is meticulously crafted to foster the development of creativity, imagination, and teamwork within our children. Through the language of acting, they find a powerful medium for self-expression. This experiential journey is further amplified by the presence of a dramatic play area in every classroom, continually evolving with diverse themes and children’s input.

In this dynamic space, your child is invited to explore a plethora of scenarios. They might find themselves immersed in the culinary world, running a restaurant, or stepping into the shoes of caregivers tending to patients. Other adventures could include exploring the North Pole or delving into an array of exciting possibilities. This immersive approach taps into their creativity and offers an avenue for self-discovery in a playful and engaging manner.

We also provide private art lessons for children, catering to a range of skill levels and techniques. These personalized lessons allow children to progress at their own pace, ensuring they remain engaged in their chosen artistic pursuits while working towards their individual goals.
